Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens-min

Cincinnati is a great place to visit for the entire family. There are plenty of kid-friendly attractions, such as museums and parks, that will keep you entertained all day long! Here are five of our favorites!

Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens

The zoo is home to more than 2,000 animals from around the world, including gorillas, pandas, and elephants. Kids will also love the petting zoo with sheep, goats, and turtles!

How does the zoo help protect the environment? The zoo is home to a number of endangered species, including the very rare pygmy hippopotamus! They also work to educate children about the importance of protecting our earth.

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park

This theatre company offers family-friendly performances throughout the year! Bring the kids to see a live performance or take them to tour backstage and meet some of their favorite actors!

Findlay Market

For more than 100 years, Findlay Market has been Cincinnati’s go-to destination for local produce. It also features many local restaurants with delicious food from around the world. Bring your appetite for international cuisine and you won’t be disappointed.

Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal

  • Dorothy’s Ruby Slippers From The Wizard of Oz Movie
  • George’s Washington’s False Teeth
  • Baseball Memorabilia
  • And Much More!

Located in an old train station and operated by three different museums all on one site. The museum is home to three floors of exhibitions and interactive learning experiences. Kids will love the kid-sized city, where they can play with trains! This hotspot features several hands-on exhibits, such as making your own music with drums.

Did you know that there are real pieces from history here? The Cincinnati History Museum has a variety of objects on display including George Washington’s iconic false teeth. The museum also houses the largest collection of Cincinnati Reds memorabilia in the world, including a rare game-used ball from 1919 and an autographed bat by Pete Rose!

National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

Learn about slavery in America through interactive exhibits that engage your senses as well as your mind.

Witness the stories of enslaved people and learn how they led their own escapes. The Freedom Center is also a memorial to those who helped them along the way, like Harriet Tubman. There are so many great exhibits for kids, too! They can crawl through an 18-inch tunnel that represents slave hiding places on plantations or learn about south-western Ohio’s part in the Underground Railroad.

Don’t Miss: The Harriet Tubman exhibit, which is a tribute to her life and legacy as one of America’s greatest freedom fighters!

Krohn Conservatory

The Krohn Conservatory is one of the most beautiful indoor gardens in Cincinnati! It has a wide variety of plants, flowers, and trees on display. You can’t visit without seeing their stunning butterfly exhibit, which was recently updated with 25 new species.

Take a ride on the exotic patio! You can explore an igloo, snow-covered forest and get lost in our enormous indoor jungle. In addition to all of these gorgeous views, you’ll find interactive exhibits including The Art Garden.

The Krohn Conservatory is one of Cincinnati’s most treasured attractions for families looking for a unique experience.
